I am a self-employed website creator and content writer based in Montreal.
I worked in the world of digital agencies before founding my own, Agence Ricochet, with which I supported a variety of clients, mainly in the tourism, restaurant and startup sectors.
Today, I put my expertise at the service of brands that want to stand out thanks to a coherent, aesthetic and high-performance online presence. I create modern, fast and well-designed sites, while integrating a strategy of SEO and storytelling that highlights what makes each project unique. 01 The discovery call
I want to get to know you
In our discovery call, we establish together what will be on your site. The content, the tone. We build the foundation together. You will have a little homework before our meeting: to fill out a document that tells me about you. You'll see, it's nothing complicated. Nobody likes complicated things.
02 The sitemap
My first proposal
This is where I make my first proposal to you. Together we look at the hierarchy of the site, including the order and presentation of the sections. Together, we adjust and align on a strategy. We're talking about what and why one element should be more important than another.
03 The wireframe
We're talking content
Here, we talk about how the content will be formatted. So what will that beautiful site look like?! But for now we stick to something black and white, because we want to focus on what we say rather than the beautiful font I found for you. I will have written text elements for you, but I am counting on you to adapt my content to your reality. I haven't bought a crystal ball yet to read your thoughts. One day maybe. I'm not closed to the idea.
04 The design
We add color!
We finally move on to the aspect that everyone loves. The design. This is where I show you the colors, fonts and graphic styles I have chosen. We make a few adjustments together to make everything perfect, and then ta-da! We are ready to go online.
05 The go-live
Your site is online!
Hooray! Together we press the big "Go Live" button and take a moment together for me to show you all the analytical tools that I will have installed. I also talk to you about everything that is cookies, Google My Business and everything that comes with your online presence.
A website pollutes.
Each site needs to be hosted somewhere, and needs servers to be online. Servers require energy to run, and drinking water to be cooled.
The issue is that not having a website is being invisible online. So here's how I do everything in my power to reduce your impact to a minimum.
It's not greenwashing, it's just a side effect of SEO best practices and the technique I use to make your site as lightweight and fast as possible.
No infrastructure, just pages.
When possible, and in most cases it is, I opt for a static site, meaning I take the HTML code and put it online. The result: we have a very lightweight site, which therefore loads as quickly as possible. Google likes it, and the planet prefers it too. No servers running 24/7 in a vacuum to run a heavy infrastructure like Wordpress. Your site is loaded only when a user asks to see it. And fast.
An evolving design
To build your site, I use a design systemwhich allows me to quickly create new sections and pages and apply your branding to new sections in a snap. Want to change the site's colors? The style of the buttons? Rebrandings happen, and your site shouldn't be a hindrance.
Media is heavy.
Images can account for 50% to 75% of a site's energy consumption. So, it's important to optimize their size and weight to minimize their impact. I also make sure to compress your site's images into lighter formats.
